Angels hi!!!!!! Omg I need to tell you - last night Abby and I went to see Josh Silver (Author of Fruit Fly and the most charming and handsome man I’ve ever seen) speak in Põneke, and he was a BREATH of fresh air. Usually, author talks feel a bit boring and pretentious to me, but this man was just like us!!! Loved it sm!!!
We’re about to head into a long weekend here in Aotearoa, so I hope you have something cute and relaxing lined up xxx
Not sure where you sit politically? No stress!
When I was a first-time voter, I remember HOW overwhelming it was to try and figure out what political party best aligned with my values - and that’s totally normal - no one hands you a manual on how to do this shit!
Luckily, there are tools to help - like
On The Fence
.
On The Fence
is an online questionnaire from a team at Massey University, built for young and first-time voters who are just getting started. You explore your views on a bunch of issues, compare your answers with the parties’ answers to the same questions, and see where you align (and where you don’t).
It won’t tell you who to vote for, but it’s a solid starting point and helps get you thinking about the shit you care about and how to vote accordingly.
Check it out here!
Can anyone tell me what this weird noise that Trump made is?
Is it a burp?
Everyone’s holidays look the same these days. Yours doesn’t have to.
This section was made possible by the angels at Intrepid Travel.
At the start of the year, I got an email asking if I wanted to go on a
Women’s Expedition
with
Intrepid Travel
to Peru. It was like no trip I’ve ever been on, with women guides, women trek leaders, women porters, visiting communities where generations of women’s lives are actively changing because we chose to spend our money there. On this trip, I was so much more drawn to the smaller communities and experiences than the ones you see on postcards, which made me decide that next time I travel, I want to go somewhere that I haven’t seen all over my explore page.
That’s why I’m so into
